Healthy, Active, Happy Children

At Hucknall Day Nursery we recognise the importance of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle.  We promote and encourage outdoor play in all weathers and ask parents/carers to send their child to nursery equipped with this in mind.  We also champion the governments ‘Daily Mile’ initiative.  Our Pre-schoolers and Toddlers are encouraged to get outside and run, walk or jog for 15 minutes each day.  For our older children, staff also program in regular PE sessions by a qualified children’s fitness instructor.  With more children spending time indoors on screens and with growing child obesity problem, the nursery has found that outdoor physical play has many benefits.
