Professional and quality care for your child
The pre-school nursery is situated in a large single story building set in over two acres of land. There is a large landscaped garden together with a fully enclosed play area with a hard surface area for the use of bikes.
The nursery has been designed so that the children have the use of several areas that all have their own specific use.
The main area is used purely for art, craft and imaginative play along with sand and water.
Another area is used for books, puzzles, construction, number work, music and movement.
And finally a quiet area has been designed for children to work in small groups. This area offers our computer which is programmed with educational software. We at the Hucknall Day Nursery liaise together with the local primary schools and we are currently using The Oxford Reading Tree Scheme, with this educational provision we offer a wide range of worthwhile and stimulating activities for promoting children’s learning and most children are likely to achieve the desirable outcomes by the time they are five years old.
We work alongside the schools’ curriculum introducing ‘Starting from the Child’ in a fun and informative way.
